- Jesus of Nazareth (John 13:35)
How did Jesus equip a few fishermen, a lawyer, a tax collector, and other unlikely people to change the world? He didn’t start with a building or a system. He started with discipleship, and discipleship birthed the church.
It happened through relationship. Jesus walked with people, talked with them, taught them, ate with them, and shared everyday life with them. Over time, he formed them into people who lived God’s way. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, this “band of nobodies” became a people ready to carry the Kingdom of God into the world.
We believe that model still works, and we believe it’s needed now more than ever. When religion gets loud and confusing, we come back to one simple question.
“Whose disciple does this make me look like?”
