Why Disciples of Christ?

Before there was a church there were disciples…

How did Jesus equip a couple of fishers, a lawyer, a tax collector, a few other misfits change the world? It wasn’t through the “church,” it was through discipleship. Discipleship birthed the church.

It was through relationship. Through walking, talking, teaching, eating and being together, Jesus imparted a vision of Godly living that, through the empowerment of the Holy Ghost, qualified this ridiculous band of nobodies to carry the Kingdom of God into the Earth.

We believe that this model of transformation is relevant and very much needed in the world today. Much of the noisy confusion of religiosity and churchism can be simplified if we ask ourselves one simple question,

“Whose disciple does this make me look like?”
