Affiliation

Disciples of Christ, Inc. does not maintain any organizational affiliation and we do not claim any particular denomination. We are simply a Christian church as were believers in the Bible before there were denominations.

Dress Code

Disciples of Christ maintains a strict “come as you are” dress code. You’ll see a mixed bag of Sunday Best and shorts and tennis shoes (sneakers) on any Sunday. We do ask that you exercise reasonable judgment and come in a modest attire if you have it available.

Membership

Jesus didn’t have members. He had disciples. And homes don’t have members. They have families or kinfolk as they used to say. So why do we have “memberships” for our church homes?

At DoC, if you choose to walk with us, if you believe as we believe, and if you are committed to learning what it is to live out those beliefs, then you are one of us until you tell us to leave you alone. It’s that simple.

Offerings

At DoC, we don’t carve out a formal space in our service for collecting offerings. Jesus taught not to make a big thing out of giving, and we follow those instructions. There’s an offering box available for anyone who finds value in the ministry and wishes to sow into it financially. That model was good enough for Moses to build the Tabernacle. We figure it should be good enough for us.
